News UK has revealed that the number of digital subscribers to The Times and Sunday Times has topped 150,000.
- The figure of the two newspapers in February was 120,000, which had now grown 20% as the figure stands at 150,000.
- In July 2010 The Times and Sunday Times introduced its online paywall The news UK reported that the print subscribers to The Times and Sunday Times had grown from 50,000 to 200,000.
- The Times and Sunday Times digital subscription price has changed from £2-a-week to £4-a-week last March.
- It looks like The Times and Sunday Times are looking to be going through a good spell as, Emma Tucker, the recently-appointed Times deputy editor said the reported figure is "incredibly exciting" not only for The Times and Sunday Times but also the future of them, being able to keep them going for a long time.
- "We can see a solid customer base across every platform, including print," said Mike Darcey, This connotes that The Times and The Sunday Times are very confident on the sales they are making on their print edition, as many would believe due to the online and app edition they would not be making the income on print editions as expected.
