Google reports 17% revenue rise for fourth quarter

Google HQ

Google received an increase of revenues towards the end of 2013 where they were able to increase their revenues by 17%. This was announced on Thursday. The company's results came a day after it announced it was Selling Motorola Mobile. Google’s current revenue has no increased to $16.86 billion this also includes the sale of Motorola smartphone sale. Google's majority of revenues came from their own sites which include it search engine and YouTube. Google-owned sites generated revenues of $10.55bn, 67% of revenues. I believe that the sale of Motorola will not affect Google as much as due to the increase of Samsung and Apple within the market. Therefore i believe Google have sold Motorola before the company would be worthless.

  • The revenue of Google this time last year was $14 billion.
  • They are looking to increase the revenue to $16 billion by this time next year.
  • Advertising revenues rose about 17% to $14.07bn
