Simon Cowell signs three-year X Factor and Britain's Got Talent deal
Simon Cowell signs a Three year
Deal with ITV for his shows X factor and Britain's Got Talent to be shown on
Saturday night.
- The deal is worth £150 million.
- The deal will last until
the end of the 2016 series of both shows.
- The deal between ITV and
Simon Cowells Syco Entertainment
was announced on Friday.
- This deal has come at a
right time for ITV after their disappoint of losing the UEFA Champions
League football.
Simon Cowell has also revealed
that he will be a judge on least one of the shows as a judge. However it is
also seen that he may come back to judge on the X Factor UK due to the ratings
of the show falling since he’s move to take the X Factor to the US. Therefore
he is seen to now dropping the US for his original UK show.
However the US show is also
seen to suffering in views therefore creating rumours of the show getting the
boot. The X Factor US had received only 3.6 million last week. This could then
see Simon Cowell coming back to the UK which would then benefit ITV.
Quote from Simon Cowell on this
deal..
- Cowell said: "I am thrilled that we have extended our deal with ITV for Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor. They have been fantastic partners and we have some exciting new plans to take the shows to the next level."
