Telegraph Media Group made record £60m profit last year
The guardian had reviled that the Telegraph Media
Group created a profit of more than £60m for the previous year. This is the
third year now in which the guardian were able to increase their profits, also
with the profit margins increasing year on end. The Telegraph Media Group will
be announcing the amount they made during each month through the course of the
year. Furthermore it is also to be told that they are looking at a record
revenue within the spring season. This then looked to be a good year for the
Telegraph Media Group. However for the past three years they were seen to have
been at the top. Rival such as, The Times, The Independent and The Guardian,
have not had the same luxury of profit margins as Telegraph Media Group as they
have been in loss for the past years. Telegraph Media Group also had received
an increase in subscriptions to their newspaper since it had launched its
online paywall. The paywall was released in November 2012 internationally. It
was then extended for domestic users a few months later into the following year
of March 2013.
- Telegraph Media Group made a profit of £58.4m in 2012
- Telegraph Media Group had made a profit of £55.7m in the previous year being 2011.
